Adrian worked for Kodak after leaving school, and joined the BBC in 1961. In
1963 he took over the Rambling section of the Grotto Club (later the Cardinal
Club), from Peter Flach.
We have lived in Guildford for twenty-eight years, moving once. The children
all went to local schools, firstly St Thomas of Canterbury, and on to St
Peters.
Adrian retired after thirty-two years at the BBC. Last year he completed
walking the North Downs Way, and has now started the Thames Path. His interests
are still railways and gardens, but has now added computers and Internet
`surfing'.
Margaret returned to Physiotherapy in 1984, and has specialised in
Paediatrics. She works full time for the local NHS Community Trust, and is also
a Health and Safety Rep. She is just finishing the OU T171 course, `You, your
computer and the Net', which has been a complete enlightennent into Information
Technology.
Katharine graduated from Trinity and All Saints College in French and Media
Studies. She took a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course and
worked in Japan for eighteen months. She has worked in Sardinia for the last
two years, and speaks fluent Italian. (The beaches and the lifestyle are good)!
Zelie graduated from Cardiff University, in European Community Studies, with
French and Spanish. She has worked in London for the British Tourist Authority,
and is currently working in Tenerife, and enjoying the sunshine.
Paul graduated from Leeds University in International Relations. He spent
six months in Barcelona learning Spanish. He is just about to finish his MA in
War Studies at Kings College, London.
Martin has just graduated from Swansea University having read International
Relations with Politics. He has not decided what to do next!
