Theresa Flach was the fourth child of the eight children of Eva and Joseph
Flach who resided al tile family home at 47, Bethune Road, Stoke Newington,
London. In later years there were many happy family gatherings at this address.
In 1917 Theresa took up a teaching post in Leiston, Suffolk, and for five
years lived in nearby Aldeburgh. In 1922 she married William Kerby, a teacher
in Ipswich, and they lived at 72 Orford Street, Ipswich all their married life.
Their four children all became teachers but Raymond gave up teaching in 1958
in order to study for the priesthood at the Beda College in Rome. He was
ordained at the Basilica of St John Lateran in Rome in 1962 and is at present
Parish Priest at the church of the Sacred Heart in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
Eva remained single and died in 1990.
In 1958 Dorothy married Ted Tynan, a headmaster in Ipswich, and they
established their family home at 72 Orford Street.
Maurice moved to Bristol in 1955 in order to marry Rina, whom he had met
while they were students at King's College, London. Both were teachers until
their retirement and still live in Bristol at 3, West Town Avenue,
l3rislington.
Their two daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth, also teach.
Catherine and her husband, Peter Roberts, live in Portishead, near Bristol,
with their children, Sarah and David.
Elizabeth and her husband, Paul Balacky, live in Ealing, London, with their
children; Amy, Joe, Hannah and Joshua.
Simon is a professional antiquarian horologist and works in Winchester,
Hampshire. He is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers and a
Freeman of the City of London.
The three generations of Maurice's family are all present at this millennium
